Dear friends, allies, and supporters of Everystory Sri Lanka,

We hope this finds you well! In the spirit of feminist reflections on self-care, labor, and work - Everystory will be closing our offices from the 20th of December 2021 to the 10th of January 2022. This means that our full team will be unapologetically unavailable during this time.

We quote our friends at Purposeful to say: “[t]his has been a year of deep pain and extraordinary power. Never has our work felt more urgent, and never has it been more urgent to rest. We understand rest as a powerful part of our work as activists, a form of resistance against a capitalist system that teaches us that our intrinsic value lies only in what we can produce. In the words of Audre Lord “caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare”.

Our YFN January 2022 Newsletter is in the process of being curated to bring you new inspiring content for the upcoming year and will be sent to your inbox by the mid of the month.

We hope all of you are also able to find the time and space to rest, reflect, and renew from what has been a very challenging year. Thank you for all your support this year and we look forward to coming back in 2022 and developing our work with you, and inspiring many more feminists on our journey!
